SuSE 9.0 Pro. 256MB RAM. When I run Firefox and do a lot of
downloading, my swap slowly increases. When it hits 70MB - 100MB my
machine basically locks up, except for shell windows which run fine.
Firefox will not respond, even if I kill all other killable apps. If I
force kill Firefox (kill -9) the swap decreases slightly, but the box
remains pretty unresponsive until reboot.
Is this a known Firefox problem?
Is there anything I can do to alleviate this?
Thanks,
