Another way to temporary add more IP's to the same interface:
ip addr add <anyip/netmaskbits.in.decimal> dev <devicename> label
<devicename:number>
ip link set dev <devicename:number> up
One question: if the mentioned "first method" with separate "ifcfg-eth..."
files for each IP will be obsolete, how can you configure different
bootprotocols in one ifcfg-eth0 file?
