Sorry, it didn't work!
At first I thought it was doubtful that running a graphical application
was possible if the monitor X configuration was set too high. Even with
right monitor settings on beforehand, this happended following the
suggested steps:
1. ctrl-alt-f1
to make a command line login
2. # init 3
to go to run level 3
3. # sax2
sax2 started up, but run the monitor "Out of range":
H.Frequency: 91 kHz 90 kHz
V.Frequency: 85 kHz 84,5 kHz
