    Try this:

    echo $DISPLAY

    This will give you the proper value of DISPLAY.

    Then do:

    xhost +
    su - root
    DISPLAY=(Here put in the value of DISPLAY given by the topmost command)
    export DISPLAY
    wget -q -o - http://go.ximian.com | sh
