Sorry I forgot to mention that I am running kde 3.2.2.
I have also just remembered something important, you have to go to
Yast>system>editor for /etc/sysconfig files>desktop>X_MOUSE_CURSOR and enter
Blue and with luck you should have your cursor, I hope.
