[SLE] kdetv in 9.1 without tv stations

On an empty partition I have made an new install of 9.1 parallel to a
good functioning 9.0. I am now in the process of checking what works
and what not.
On 9.1 using kdetv nothing seems to work. No image,no channels (sound
cannot be checked). On the parallel 9.0 kwintv works like a charm, I
have my 13 channels and sound is okay. The TV card is configured
same, it uses the same cabling and other hardware so why does 9.1
play different? Anybody with this kind of problem? Any solutions?
