Hi all,
I believe something of this nature has been discussed previously, but I
don't know if it was ever resolved. I believe the original was
something about actually writing too and removing files from a floppy
or usb storage device.
I can read, write, and remove items from either, but when trying to
rename a file, copy & paste or cut & paste, I get the error!
"Writing to drives is not supported"
That happens to either device and I suspect it has something to do with
the subfs system SuSE has incorporated. I have not been able to find
anywhere in the system though, where this "information" window comes
from when it fails. Another little item is that I can open a shell,
move an item to rename it (mv /usb/name /usb/newname) and all things
are right again. The problem goes away after doing this.
Any thoughts?
Thanks,
Lee
