[SLE] My Suse 9.1 desktop suddenly stopped responding

    My Suse 9.1 desktop suddenly stopped responding when I tried to
    run lbreakout for my son.

    I had to do a cold restart and despite multiple restart attempts
    the PC will not longer complete the reboot.

    Here is the code I see just prior to reboot stalling:

    Starting resource managerrunable to create /var/run/resmgr.pid
    startproc: exit status of parent of /sbin/resmgrd: 1 failed

    Starting RPC portmap daemon done done
    Starting nfsboot (sm-notify)

    Help, please?
