    Hi,

When in SuSE 9.1 I start "zapping" (gnome tv app), it shows a flat black
window, instead of the TV. If I go to "preferences", it locks, I have to
kill it. Channel search seems to work, though: except that channels are not
    saved.

Other TV apps, like xawtv, work.

If I start zapping after closing xawtv, it works - but only in overlay
mode (and with a non-resizeable window); if I switch to capture, I get
(copied by hand): "Cannot start capturing:
    tveng25.cp_tveng25_qbuf:1569: ioctl VIDIOC_QBUF failed:22, Invalid
    argument".

The included version is 0.7cvs20040129. I have tried to compile the last
stable version from sources (zapping-0.6.8.tar.bz2), but I get an error
    that shouldn't be there:

    In file included from /opt/gnome/include/gnome-1.0/libgnome/libgnome.h:39,
                     from /opt/gnome/include/gnome-1.0/gnome.h:16,
                     from audio.c:23:

/opt/gnome/include/glib-2.0/glib/gfileutils.h:69: error: previous declaration of `G_FILE_TEST_EXISTS'
/opt/gnome/include/gnome-1.0/libgnome/gnome-util.h:35: error: conflicting types for `g_file_test'
/opt/gnome/include/glib-2.0/glib/gfileutils.h:76: error: previous declaration of `g_file_test'
    make[2]: *** [audio.o] Error 1
    make[2]: Leaving directory `/usr/local/compilaciones/zapping-0.7/zapping-0.6.8/src'
    make[1]: *** [all-recursive] Error 1
    make[1]: Leaving directory `/usr/local/compilaciones/zapping-0.7/zapping-0.6.8'
    make: *** [all] Error 2

There are errors in the system libraries, in file
/opt/gnome/include/gnome-1.0/libgnome/gnome-util.h and others. And that is
    gnome-1

The CVS version SuSE has used is a cvs version because it uses gnome-2 -
    but it doesn't work.

Any clues? It worked nicely in SuSE 8.2
