As spanish I actually use that mapping and works fine for me. Are you testing it on an X application
or in a console???? For me it works every where but in rxvt. If you want to use it in console
I believe you have to use loadkeys (man loadkeys)

quit When the quit statement is read, the bc processor
is terminated, regardless of where the quit state-
ment is found. For example, "if (0 == 1) quit"
will cause bc to terminate.
