Yesterday I started getting disk errors, thought I had a bad disk, but after repartitioning it, I was able to reinstall 9.1. Then I started getting segfaults and sig11's during make, kernel and apps. Ran reiserfsck and got drive errors, seek incomplete etc., so I started moving stuff around and found that the drive was clean when on the second IDE port. Looks like it's a bad motherboard.
I've had problems with this, first it was the new XP2800+ CPU that wouldn't run at other than 133MHz, changed memory, motherboard and finally the CPU fixed it.
I've used Asus motherboards for quite a while, but have not had the trouble I'm having with this one.
Anyone else with bad experiences?
Regards
Sid.
