    cat /etc/mtab
    or

    might, if it is formatted as ntfs instead of vfat. But I do not know
    if you are able to format the media as ntfs. Is "SD" a camera memory
    card or a removable hard drive or ....?

    have you googled to see if the device *is* supported in linux?
