    Two issues:
    1. I have a biostar m7ncd ultra mother board with a VIA sata raid
controller (VT6420 chip). But Suse9.1 thinks it should use via_sata.ko
and treat the drives as two drives. When I boot, suse9.1 tries and
tries to read these two drives for maybe 5 minutes. It sees them as hde
and hdg. I have MS Windows XP on the raid. I don't need to have the
Win XP NTFS partition mounted. So how can I convince Suse 9.1 to just
ignore these drives? I do not have anything in fstab for these drives.

    2. When I downloaded the right driver from VIA, unzip it and do make,
the compile fails when it can't find modversions.h. I did a search with
"find files" and this file existed in 2.4.21 kernels in the location in
the tree where make is looking, but the file does not exits with the
2.6.5-7.95 kernel in any folder. So how do I generate this file or how
do I edit the makefile to work arround this?

    Any advice much appreciated!
    Dave P.
