Not sure if this will shed any light, but I also have problems with a
Belkin OmniCube 4 port KVM with three Linux and one Windows machines
    connected to it.

My mouse is usually OK, occasionally under Linux it goes wild. I then
unplug/replug it from/to the KVM - Linux recognizes new hardware and all
    is fine.

The more difficult, frequent problem is keyboard lockup. When I switch
between machines the keyboard will not be active. Again, I can usually
plug/unplug the keyboard cable at the KVM and I will get keyboard
control back. On Windows, I keep the Keyboard Control Panel applet in a
desktop corner. Just starting the applet and dismissing it with the OK
button fixes the problem. On Linux, the keyboard panel does not seem to
have the same effect, so I must physically unplug/replug the keyboard
cable. After hundreds of times of doing this my connectors are just
    about shot.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks - Richard
