Disregard, fried brains ... I was blindly following
the printed instructions ... that the printer hiccuped
and over typed in a couple of critical spots!
I needed to type "./mozilla-installer" NOT mozilla-installer
As for the unrecognized "installer" command nor any help
man or info references I have rebooted and all is well with
that as well.
It is late in the Eastern Time Zone!
