    First item:
    I installed 9.1 on a ASUS A7N8X-E Deluxe(BIOS 1009) using
    Installation Failsafe from the DVD. I boot using GRUB with
    acpi=off adm=off hdc=cdrom ide=nodma and the others
    parameters. The ASUS A7N8X-E is listed as being fully
    supported in the SUSE hardware support list. All the
    restrictions make me think there is something wrong with
    the distribution's support of this system board.

    Second item:
    9.1 boots correctly except after the first update.

    When I do an Online Update, LINUX halts or appears to halt
    just after the fsck on the partitions is performed the
    "done" is not printed. The next item normally seen in the
    boot dialog "Setup" is not seen. I see listed all the ext2
    and ext3 partitions but I did not see the root partition
    listed as being checked. I don't know if that may be
    normal.

    I choose all the "recommended" item on the yast online
    update list. Some tell me if there is anything I can do.
     I'm in a big hurry as this project is way behind.
