[SLE] Mozilla 1.8a2 Nice but Buggy

I loaded 1.8a2 on a clean install of Suse 9.1 -- I figured that since
1.6 and 1.7 had bugs I might as well get involved in bug reporting
so that future stable releases were cleaner.
Here is what I've observed so far:
1. Changes to Preferences are not saved.
2. There is no provision to import E-mail folders from 1.6 that I could
find.
3. Replacing the E-mail address book from 1.8a2 with the one from 1.6
fails.
4. Sent mail is not saved to the Sent folder.
Anyone seen patches or workarounds to any of these, please?
