[SLE] Installing Linux Suse 9.1 on Compaq Presario R3000 (NEWBIE)

Hello,
I have tried to install Linux Suse 9.1 on my laptop:
Compaq Presario R3000
HP Intel Pentium 4 CPU 2.80GHz, 384 MB RAM
Analog Devices, SoundMAX Integrated Digital Audio
ATI Mobility Radeon 9000 IGP
It doesn't seem to work properly: Sound is not working,
Monitor is not recognized and I cannot read my USB memory
storage.
Do you have any hint?
