    Today the same happens with me. Then I gone to "Seetings" menu, "Configure
    Konqueror" submenu and select the "File Associations" option. Then I select
    the tree "image" and "png" type, select "Embedding" tab and after select "Use
    settings for 'image' groupe" I choose "KView Image Viewer (kviewviewer)" as
    my first choice on Services Preference Order. Now I can view png files on
    konqueror preview.
