    Yes

    Yes. Setup Linux networking to use DHCP. Setup the Linksys to serve DHCP.

    Depends on the opinion of who is answering. There are lots of ways to do this
    type of setup. Your proposed method is usually one of the easiest. Use the
    most paranoid settings you can for the Linksys and make sure you keep each
    system updated for security issues and you'll avoid lots (but not all, ever)
    of Internet nasties. Security is a process and is never perfect and never
    complete.
