    Yes, that worked! Thanks a lot! I can't believe the answer was in my face all
    the time!

    By selecting "Taboo..never install" (and assuming you install the other
    updates) the SuSE Watcher icon is now green. I manually right-click it and
    select "Check for updates" and it stays green since there are no new updates
    (and the updates I didn't install are marked as Taboo).
