    Upgrading k3b over the last several weeks has taken me from:
    running great, no issues -> can't burn as user any more (stops burning about
    50% done consistently -> can't even see CD drives as user.

    I'm sure a lot of this is due to permissions that have been automagically
    changed during upgrades with apt. k3b used to have a nice setup program, but
    I can't seem to find it any longer. Perhaps it went away when scsi-emulation
    was no longer required.

    What permissions do programs like cdrao need to have, what must be true of
    users who want to burn (permission & groupwise), and what, if any changes
    should be made to fstab to get this working again:

    /dev/hda1 / reiserfs acl,user_xattr 1 1
    /dev/hda6 /home reiserfs acl,user_xattr 1 2
    /dev/hda5 /usr reiserfs acl,user_xattr 1 2
    /dev/hda7 swap swap pri=42 0 0
    devpts /dev/pts devpts mode=0620,gid=5 0 0
    proc /proc proc defaults 0 0
    usbfs /proc/bus/usb usbfs noauto 0 0
    sysfs /sys sysfs noauto 0 0
    /dev/cdrecorder /media/cdrecorder subfs
    fs=cdfss,ro,procuid,nosuid,nodev,exec,iocharset=utf8 0 0
    /dev/dvd /media/dvd subfs
    fs=cdfss,ro,procuid,nosuid,nodev,exec,iocharset=utf8 0 0
    /dev/fd0 /media/floppy subfs
    consistently=floppyfss,procuid,nodev,nosuid,sync 0 0
