    Hi,

I did a fresh install of Suse 9.1. Ever since I have a problem with booting
up. Sometimes the startup screen says Grub error...., sometimes it dosen't
get that far, the bios reports that the hard drive can't be found. (I have
two physical drives, suse on hdb). Most of the time it gets to the
selection/countdown screen with no problem then when it gets to the suse
screen where you can select F2 for verbose, it hangs there for about 5
minutes before the boot process continues. It runs normally after that.

I should clarify this new install was on a newly configured box, with an Abit
NF7 mobo with a 2500 Athlon. The only hardware I reused were the 2 hard
drives. I have the bios set for both drives on automatic. The suse drive
(hdb) is a newer WD 100G drive and did not have problems with it in a
previous box. Both drives are ATA, I don't have SATA configured.

    Any suggestions welcome.
