    What do you mean - you can't get apt installed because of unresolved
    dependencies, or it doesn't resolve them for you? It certainly does the
    latter as well as any other installer and, as far as installation is
    concerned, you just need to install apt, apt-libs and lua from
    http://ftp.gwdg.de/pub/linux/suse/apt/SuSE/9.1-i386/RPMS.suser-rbos/

    Have a look at http://linux01.gwdg.de/apt4rpm/ for all the info you'll
    need about apt. The dependenciy issue is a function of rpm, not the
    add-on tool used. There's been a lot of discussion here recently, some
    of it still ongoing, about various installers, so have a look through
    the list archives.
