Hello,
since I updated my SuSE 9.0 to the 9.1, with KDE 3.3, I'am not able to
use my scanner scsi anymore.
After logging, if I type "lsmod", I can see :
aha152x 42576 0
If I type "modprobe aha152x aha152x=0x340,9", lsmod indicates :
aha152x 42576 0
scsi_mod 118340 6 sg,st,osst,sr_mod,aha152x,sd_mod
I also added the following lines in "/etc/modules.conf" (which was
empty) :
alias scsi_hostadapter aha152x
options aha152x aha152x,0x340,9
But Xsane continues to say that there is no scanner
and configuring NO scanner in Yast is very difficult :-(
In "dmesg", I found :
SCSI subsystem initialized
aha152x: unsupported module, tainting kernel.
("aha152x.ko"is in "/lib/modules/2.6.5-7.104-smp/kernel/drivers/scsi".
In "/var/log/messages", I can see :
linux kernel: Inspecting /boot/System.map-2.6.5-7.104-smp
linux kernel: Loaded 24327 symbols
from /boot/System.map-2.6.5-7.104-smp.
linux kernel: Symbols match kernel version 2.6.5.
linux kernel: No module symbols loaded - kernel modules not enabled.
. . . . . .
but nothing concerning the scsi.
Could somebody help me ???
Thanks in advance !
Jean-Marie
