    I would look into the bios and make sure it is setup to allow a boot from
    the cdrom first. That should allow you to boot from the cd

    If that is coming from the bios and you dont know the password, removing
    the battery and resetting the bios should clear the requirement for a
    password. Then you can set it to boot from the cd first.

    I doubt the problem is a linux problem. Have you tried to get any other
    cds to boot?
