Hi,
I have Kmail 1.6.2, but have something else, still interesting e.g. with headers:( Just for fun I tried to make a custom header as "Powered by: SUSE 9.1", and in case I looked at the source of my own e-mail I sent, that looked always normal, but the receiver saw it on another way, because during the transfer BEFORE this line a line-break was inserted. So actually the header lost few lines, but they got "attached" to the body, and this action made difficulities, because useful stuff didn't get through as header, and in the same time the receiver saw also that part of the header as normal e-mail. (=all of the e-mail I sent started seemingly with Powered by: ...) :)
Was it my mistake, so that happened, because I used a "non-standard" header-line, which couldn't be recognized/interpreted by the mail-server, or that seems to be bug in Kmail?! With Sylpheed I had never problems with such crazy header lines on the same server...
Another thing is, that after loosing many hair of mine I still couldn't get the selective POP filtering to work automatically as it supposed. I tried the suggested way to activate the filter for size of mails (not so clever?!), but as I thought previously, it didn't help at all. Updating to KDE 3.3 gave also no result...
I wonder, how my old 8.2 can still work on the same server with the same settings, but there the filters WORK. Interesstingly the server reports to my SUSE9.1 (I didn't check it under 8.2), that it can't filter selectively for anything, even for size or header. I emphasize, 8.2's Kmail had no problem with THAT server; under Windows TheBat! also managed the POP filtering with no problem.
Any suggestions/other ideas?
Thanks,
Peli
