Lucky you especially given the amount of unemployment world-wide.

    'Fraid not :(

I have a share created on my C: drive on Win XP and have rebooted it a
number of times since the initial request to no avail. I normally power
down each time I am finished with linux(my primary system) or
    Windows(for business Windows training.

If I want to use both machines I normally power on the linux machine
with the printer attached to it first and then the client Win_XP member
    of the workgroup.

I just tried the other way to confirm and was rewarded with the same
negative result BUT courtesy of Pat I decided to read a Windows man page
on sharing. It states in there that Sharing is possible with any folder
EXCEPT Documents and Settings, Program Files and the Windows directory.

After you said that you had managed to get into C: I tried it and also
got into C:, but not into the Program Files directory, which is where I
wanted to be. I just have to make a text file listing of the Program
Files and store it in my own documents directory to get around the
    Something Might Blow-up(SMB) 'error'.

Any other suggestions to get past the SMB thingy?
