    I did a SuSE kernel upgrade. I did NOT upgrade the Nvidia drivers using Yast
    as I was trying to prevent this problem. I had a hard time getting the
    drivers to work when I first installed SuSE. My Nvidia drivers are not
    loading and I pretty much forgot those steps(I'm old). I know there is a
    README on this from Nvidia which are the steps I used the first time but as
    most of you know the Nvidia site is down and I don't have access to Mozilla
    anyway. If anyone has this could you please send it as I can get to my email
    using pine.

    Someone lease help me.

    Here is what I remember if anyone could fill in the blanks I would be grateful
    (but not dead).

    There is an app or a script that is called something like nvidia-instalXXXXXXX
    where the X's refer to a specific version of the drivers. Running this
    installs the drivers. Where do I get it?

    After I install the drivers there is a SuSE linux command that I run to link
    the driver module into the kernel at bootup. What is it?

    Thanks list for your help. All comments welcome
    john
