    DHCP or static? What does ´ifstatus eth0´ show; are the correct DHCP, DNS,
    gateway, client IP addresses showing? If its DHCP is there any change if you
    do an ´ifdown eth0´ followed by an ´ifup eth0´? Does a ´ping www.yahoo.com´
    work?

    Have you tried a different ethernet cable and/or port on the ethernet switch?
