    I've had this problem on an old laptop a few years ago, it turned out to
    be that it objected to the CD-RW on which it was burned, I found I had
    to use CD-R's, it just couldn't handle rewriteables, so now I burn
    anything bootable on CD-R and use CD-RW for anything that doesn't need
    to be bootable.
