I had a similar problem on a Compaq DL140 that turned out to be an issue
with ACPI. You might try adding pci=noacpi as a boot option.

Thanks for the response. I might not be up to speed with modules,
because these seems odd to me.
inside /etc/modprobe.conf is this:
########################################################################
# Aliases - specify your hardware
########################################################################
install eth0 /bin/true
install eth1 /bin/true
install tr0 /bin/true
install scsi_hostadapter /bin/true
install fb0 /bin/true
...you'll notice that the module that eth0 is supposed to be using
isnt
listed next to it? Is this something new in the 2.6x kernel?
However, when I do a lsmod, I get this:
tg3 75396 0
..So, I am assuming is loading somewhere. I'm not just sure where.
Any further assistance is appreciated!

Yes I have seen this many of times. What driver are you loading. The
TG3
driver from RedHat or the bcm5700 driver?
