    Hi,

    I tried to install a SuSE 9.1 Professional on a Dell GX60 with a 17" Dell
    R771a Monitor.

The installation starts correctly, but, as soon as Yast takes control the
screen becomes unreadable and I have to abort the installation.

I tried to install in safe setting, as suggested by SuSE support, but I
    have the same problem.

The installation starts correctly, but, as soon as Yast is used, all
characters are displayed in an unreadable way. It looks like the resolution
is incorrect, but I have not been able to find any way to change it.

When I abort the installation and I go back to linuxrc, then the screen is
    perfectly readable,

I tried also to change the linuxrc settings to use a monochrome display and
again it works until Yast is started. Then color is used again and
    the coloured characters are unreadable.

The strange thing is that I installed without any problem a SuSE 9.0
    distributed on a computer magazine.

Please let me have any useful suggestion.

    Best Regards

    Mario Pesce
