I do not know about 9.2, but 9.1, updated with apt-get and synaptic,
with KDE 3.3 works awesome with k3b. Just a few days ago I got Plextor
716 internal dual layer dual format DVD burner. I just put it in the
box and it was up and running. I remember only (in the past, with my
prev burner) that I have changed the fstab file, so the burner does
not mount automatically. This prevented a DVD burning, while CD
    burning was ok.
Also, I do not know how it is in 9.2 (these days I'll give it a try),
but mine k3b has k3bsetup, which was missing in most of the k3b rpms I
    have seen in Suse.

I haven't tried with dual layer media as well :)
But with prises like 0.30-0.40 for single layer, duals should become
    1$ very soon

    Do you have dvd+rw-tools installed?

    Cheers
