    That is odd, it did not update modules.dep and some other files in that
    directory on my system or more likely it copied them over from the
    original 2.6.8-24, before deleting /lib/modules/2.6.8-24, I upgraded via
    YOU.
    barrabas:/ftp/nov04 # rpm -qplv
    /var/lib/YaST2/you/mnt/i386/update/9.2/rpm/i586/kernel-default-2.6.8-24.3.i586.rpm|grep
    modules.dep
    -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 281106 Oct 26 19:49
    /lib/modules/2.6.8-24.3-default/modules.dep
