    If you have the horizontal and vertical scanrates for the monitor (if you buy
    it new you'll have it in th manual/on the box/somewhere), any monitor will
    work properly.

    As far large monitors go, I must say I was blown away by the Cornerstone
    monitors I've seen. Their "baby" model is (or was, I think it was
    discontinued in favour of a bigger one) the P1400 iirc - 19" job that can
    handle 1600x1200@85hz and go up to 2048xWhatever - which is where I maxed out
    the graphics card, dunno if the screen would have gone further. All the
    while maintaining excellent picture quality.

    They're a little more expensive than regular brands, but well worth the money.
