    hi

    i run suse 9.1

i see on the web a kernel named: kernel-syms-2.6.8
this kernel size is very low...

    is it a patch?
it know with a syms kernel we don't need to recompile everytime the modules
    when we compile the kernel....

are there an option in the kernel for the syms?
are there a real kernel syms and not a patch?

what is need to install to have a syms kernel?

    thanks
