Yes it does actually, if you look at the numbers and dates. And especially if
you look at
http://pingus.seul.org/news.html
where 0.6.1 was promised in April. And even more so when you observe that Ingo
Ruhnke, the main developer, is mostly active in Super Tux now, and hardly at
all in Pingus.
The fact that Debian supplies a few patches is hardly a testament to the
livelihood of a project.
Maybe it's not dead, but it's certainly been in a coma for a long time now.
