    Ribbon cables are favourite, the first things I suspect and make sure I
    have more than an ample supply at hand. The last mobo that failed (HD &
    CD-RW not accessible on IDE0) went back to the supplier less the cables
    and the replacement has been OK after mkreiserfs was done.
