    I thought mine was working too, until I noticed the dpi in the xfree86.log
    file showing uneven numbers (eg (96, 92)).

    Yast does NOT get the latest (6229) driver.

    To test, I used gimp to create a new 120x120 picture and
    1.) first, gimp told me it couldn't detect the dpi
    2.) the picture was NOT square.

    It wasn't until I got the modeline right, that I got the dpi right, that I got
    the square image.
