Trying to install 9.2 on a Gateway laptop 600s, I get through copying of
the packages and when it goes to 'Finishing Basic Installation', it
hangs at 62% during 'Install boot manager'. The message at that point is
'Creating initrd...'. This laptop already has Windows XP/Red Hat 9 dual boot with the grub boot manager. I am trying to overwrite Red Hat and MBR keeping the Windows, which all shows up as expected under default New Installation settings.

Can someone suggest what may be my problem?
