Do any of the repository maintainers regularly update Ethereal? A new
version (1.10.9) was released 20-Jan-05, while the version which
shipped (and has not been updated) is 0.10.6. The updated WEP
features look nice.
Compiling from source misses the SSL libraries, even when
hard-configured.
