When I try to boot my 9.2 system from the 9.2 Live CD on LSI21002
    (sym53c8xx), it fails with:

    cdrom: open failed
init: Cannot find the CD I was booted from - doh !

Kernel panic - not syncing: Attempted to kill init!

Does anyone know if the 9.2 live CD can be made to boot from LSI SCSI CD
with some optional kernel parameter? I know the CD is OK, because it
boots other systems with IDE CD.

The Knoppix CD has a similar boot failure problem, unable to find its
own filesystem. Does anyone know if some optional kernel parameter can
    make it boot properly?
