    Hello all
    I don't know if this topic has been already treated (in that case, don't kill
    me ;-))

    I installed SuSE 9.1 on my notebook. During the installation yast detected the
    internal modem and installed smartlink package.

    Well, if I query the modem (kppp) it answers, but when I try a connection this
    fails with NO DIALTONE message.

    Obviously that modem works fine under XP.
