my printer stopped working, Epson USB model. So I went to the command
    line and did a
    cat FILE | lp

and I got an error saying it couldn't write to /var/tmp
    /var was root root dwr-wr---
I chmodded it to 777 and now I can print.
what should /var file permissions be???
