I'm leaving your message intact so that, when Google indexes it, it'll
be just as complete as your original response, AND say:
YOUR KUNG FU IS STRONG.
You have indeed gotten this working for me as well.
A couple of notes. Since they were already there, I just added the udev
config lines to /etc/udev/permissions.d/50-udev.permissions
and /etc/udev/rules.d/50-udev.rules. I didn't need to restart anything
or logout or reboot. They took effect on the next hotsync try.
My user account isn't in the uucp group, but I'm in wheel. I wonder if
that's really a requirement to this working. I don't much care to find
out, but I realized that this was an open question of the process.
Now, besides a HUGE thank you!, I have to ask, where did you find this
answer? Who is Calogero Bonasia?
I see your original emails to this list from a month ago, yet your
included quoted answer is only 4 days old. You've put up with this for a
month? You deserve a reward. Do you have a wish list on Amazon?
Highest regards,
dk
P.S. Ahhh. My confidence in the "Linux community" has gotten a hefty
shot in the arm.
