I've got a machine running SuSE 9.2 Pro that hangs hard -- i.e., I
have to hit the reset button -- whenever I've got a lot of outgoing
network traffic. I've noticed this when using BitTorrent, and when
scp'ing or using samba to transfer large (usually > 500Mb) files. Not
sure if it's a hardware or software issue, even. The box has a
Gigabyte mobo with an onboard Intel NIC that's detected as an "Intel
EtherExpress PRO/100 Server Adapter," which is what's listed in the
manual.
Any ideas? Where could I even start to troubleshoot this? Thanks.
