Sorry , my numbers were wrong, the problem is with 9.2, worked with 9.1
My floppy is read only, all the time, regardless of floppy or how tab is set
Suse 9.2 always sees it a write protected drive
currently using this from /etc/fstab:
/dev/fd0 /media/floppy auto noauto,user,sync 0 0
orginally I had this in /etc/fstab and only root could mount or umount floppy
and most operations attempts gave an error that it was not allowed with
protocol drives.
/dev/fd0 /media/floppy subfs
fs=floppyfss,procuid,nodev,nosuid,sync 0 0
neither works properly
anyone know what the fix it- as with my Umaxs 1220s scanner everything worked
ok with SuSE 8.0, and 9.1 (BTW: still have problems with the Umax 1220s
scanner not working, gave up on that one, can reboot to SuSE 9.1 to use the
scanner)
