THANX, I'll send the server' /etc/cups/cupsd.conf
and the /etc/cups/client.conf from the client.

    OK

Appreciated. Could you comment in the respective files what changes you
made. The will help me see where I went wrong in future.

Well.... I think I am running a firewall on my server. should port 631
    be open not 633?

When I setup printing it tells me that a port has been opened on the
selected interface and I have selected the NIC but who know if it
actually happened. What file can I check?
