Following on from my earlier post on the problems with wireless usb
adapter, SuSE 9.3 does not recognise the DVD writer attached to the PC.
On boot, there are IDE seek errors. If however, SuSE 9.2 is booted no
errors are reported. In 9.3, XMMS crashes if a cd displayed, while in
92. there are no problems.
The more I use 9.3 the more I am disappointed with this release.

OK, but Sax2 doesn't recognise the device ID, which is 0x554f, and which ... doesn't appear
in the supported devices. ... (comp.os.linux.hardware)
